Program details

The SAT is a standardized test taken by high school juniors and seniors which is used for admission into top university programs in the US. Scoring highly on the preliminary SAT (PSAT) junior year also qualifies students for college scholarships.

  • Gifted Student Acceleration — designed for students who have completed Algebra 1 early and are ready to bridge the gap between classroom math and competitive performance.

  • Long-Term Mastery — most effective when started 6 to 36 months before the test date to allow for steady, structured skill development.

  • The 800-Goal Family — perfect for families aiming for National Merit scholarships or competitive university and STEM-program admissions.

  • Commitment to the Process — ideal for students ready to practice consistently, engage with feedback, and work in structured, 10-week cycles.

My Approach

Most SAT prep focuses on shortcuts and generalized practice.I focus on teaching both high-yield strategies and foundational math concepts, customized to each student's gaps. With this two-pronged approach, students are able to improve their speed, accuracy, and confidence, leading to optimal score improvement. My students follow a structured, personalized process: targeted diagnostics, focused lessons, and customized practice designed to build consistency over time.

About Me

I’m a Cornell and Columbia graduate with a background in academic and biotech research. My work has trained me to think analytically and solve complex problems with the rigor required at elite universities and in professional STEM settings. Not only do I impart that work ethic on my students, I also use the most innovative and up-to-date SAT Math techniques and data-driven feedback to help students conquer an advanced test like the SAT.I also have experience in college application consulting, with several students admitted to the Ivy League, giving me insight into what is required for a competitive academic profile.

Packages

The Independent Plan:

  • 1 x 90-min session per week, 10-week cycle ($1,800)

The Intensive Plan:

  • 2-3 x 90-min sessions per week, 10-week cycle ($3,600-$5,400)

Includes 1:1 instruction and mentorship, custom roadmap, and monthly benchmarking.

Long-Term Planning:
For students on an accelerated track (Grades 8-10), this 10-week cycle is the first step in a multi-year strategy with subsequent session frequency determined based on the student's schedule and goals. How it works

In contrast to "drop-in" help, I provide systematic, 10-week cycles of tutoring, tailored to your child’s current stage:

  • The Foundation Track (Grades 8–10) — building "math maturity" and bridging the gap between Algebra 1 and competitive PSAT/SAT performance.
Recommended start: 12-36 months before the test date, after Algebra 1 exposure

  • The Performance Track (Grades 11–12) — mastering high-yield strategies, DESMOS calculator tricks, and pacing for a top score.
Recommended start: 6-12 months before the test date

Each cycle builds on the last and includes:

  • Targeted diagnostics to identify current knowledge gaps

  • Strengthening core math skills

  • Developing SAT-style problem solving methods and intuition

  • Applying skills in practice sets and exams

  • Monthly data-driven updates on your child's improvement

A Typical Session

A typical session consists of:

  • A warmup exercise (timed or untimed)

  • Homework review

  • Teaching and practicing a new concept or SAT problem type(s)

  • Mixed concept review or challenge problems

Progress Tracking

Progress is measured through:

  • Accuracy trends by topic

  • Performance on timed sets and full practice tests

  • Reduction in repeated mistakes

  • Improvement in pacing and test stamina
